Jill Byrne – Communications Planning Director

Jill has over 15 years’ experience with agencies such as Bell Advertising; Saatchi & Saatchi; Irish International BBDO and McCann Erickson.  Jill spent eight years with McCann Erickson and was appointed to the board of Directors as well as holding the position of Client Services Director. Jill was also Group Account Director for Coca-Cola Ireland where she oversaw the management and strategic development of their brands. Most recently Jill has been working as an Independent Marketing Consultant, for clients such as Coca-Cola Ireland and Kerry Foods.

One of Jill’s key strengths is her ability to align herself closely to her clients as their strategic; business and creative partners. Recognising the need for clients to have ’strong thinkers’ as well as ‘doers’, Jill immerses herself into the projects she leads; resulting in world class and award winning effective communications. Jill knows that a good idea can come from anywhere – all you have to do is create the best setting for it to grow.

Jill graduated from UCD with an Honours Degree in Psychology before completing a Diploma in Business Studies at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business.

How have I made a difference:

On the award winning team that developed the Bank of Ireland GAA Football Sponsorship Campaign, ‘Ask not what your county can do for you’?

Led the development of the award winning Coca-Cola ‘Beautiful Refreshment’ Outdoor campaign that came from a rigorous planning process.

Through an Integrated Marketing Communications model, oversaw the successful extension of Diet Coke ‘Do Your Thing’ Campaign.
