Glow-in-the-dark cement has arrived

Ready for a glowing future?

A Mexican scientist has invented a solar-powered glow in the dark cement which could illuminate highways and roads rendering electricity-powered street lights redundant. The material soaks up light during the day and emits a blue or green glow for up to 12 hours at night. Not only would the cement save power, but the process to create it is environmentally-friendly too as the only thing released during manufacturing is water vapor.
