Kraft Heinz creates “Smunday”

Instead of spending $5 million on a 30-second Super Bowl ad spot, Heinz is giving its 42,000 employees a day off in a stunt to declare the Monday after the Super Bowl a national holiday

Based on the insight that the day after the Super Bowl is notoriously known for absenteeism (it is estimated 16 million people will call in sick that day this year), Heinz decided to put its personnel first by providing them with an extra vacation day and is inviting the world to sign their petition to declare this day a national holiday.
