Sesame Street tackles autism stigma with new muppet

Sesame Street is traditionally known for teaching children their A-B-C’s but have added social issues to their curriculum with the addition of Julia, a new character with autism

Julia is the first character in over a decade to be added to the muppet family in an effort to educate children, erode ignorance surrounding autism and teach acceptance. Her addition is part of their strategy to keep Sesame Street relevant, entertaining and educational, while extending its audience. Read the full article here
