Research and Insight Executive Role

As we grow and add to our exciting list of clients and projects MCCP are seeking to recruit a Research and Insight Executive who is seeking to kick-start their career in the areas of consumer research and brand strategy development. The ideal candidate will have a curious mind, a real interest in understanding brands, people and the social and cultural trends that are shaping behaviour today. This is a hybrid role with minimum 3 mandatory days a week in the Dublin office and flexibility where required regarding other days and research on some evenings. This is a graduate position that MCCP are looking to fill as soon as possible. MCCP are open to speaking to candidates with 1 year experience in a similar role. 

Research and Insight Executive: What the role will involve

  • Project Management: Working with Senior Research Manager and Strategist to ensure smooth running of day-to-day on projects, support on planning agency events and client workshops
  • Desk Research: Leading desk research analysis to uncover emerging trends that are relevant in the current context and MCCP client categories
  • Set-up and support for all workshops in the office
  • Qualitative and Quantitative Research Set Up: Supporting the team with setting up in-depth interviews, focus groups and questionnaires.
  • Support on Qualitative and Quantitative Research Analysis: Working with the team to identify emerging themes from qualitative research, coding of survey responses, data checking and charting.
  • Support on brand strategy development: Contributing to team analysis sessions and sharing your point of view
  • Presentation writing and powerpoint design  
  • Support developing content for LinkedIn and MCCP Newsletter

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to kick-start their career. As you find your feet in this role, following your first 6 months in the agency, the MCCP team will work with you to develop a personal development plan, identifying goals that you would like to work towards and areas of interest that you would like to get more experience in including moderation of focus groups, strategy development, presenting to clients and regular mentoring by market leaders.

Requirements for the Role

  • A genuine interest in research to uncover insights to anchor clients in the consumer world
  • Familiar with and an interest in both qualitative and quantitative research i.e. exposure to qualitative theory or practice in 3rd level or in previous role
  • Ideally familiar with brand strategy theory i.e. exposure in 3rd level
  • Strong competency is desk research, identifying trends and case studies
  • Comfortable with concepts and the interpretation of unstructured data/ verbatims
  • Strong competency in attention to detail and accuracy of note taking
  • Ideally comfortable with and interested in numbers and quantitative data, comfortable reading graphs and numerical charts
  • Ideally experience in using SPSS or other data analysis tools (not mandatory, but, preferable)
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills - ability to design clear and visually engaging slides to support data analysis
  • Excellent organisational skills – time management, diary management
