Strategy Director

Job Description

  • In MCCP you will work as part of an experienced senior team that partners with clients to deliver strategies for growth grounded in our purpose - to create better business.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to lead large scale transformative strategy projects that are genuinely customer first to include brand positioning, innovation and value propositions
  • The variety of project types requires the ability to think both strategically and critically, assess and adapt to clients’ changing needs and apply fresh thinking to help meet project goals with clients.
  • Working closely with clients you will be required to have excellent relationship management and business development along with listening skills to build trusted and long-term partnerships.
  • You will be required to have strong project, stakeholder and team leadership skills to manage project requirements, timelines, and team roles in the delivery of excellent project deliverables.
  • You will be contributing to a growing management team and to the growth agenda

Technical skills and experience

  • Must have at least 12 years’ experience developing transformative strategies that are evidence based with expertise across several categories include retail, banking, service, FMCG, B2B both domestically and internationally
  • Have insight development capacity in the area of brands, strategy, comms, consumer
  • Have strong proven brand strategy development experience (positioning, purpose, propositions, messaging, brand architecture)
  • Have strong client, teams and project leadership experience
  • Have excellent business development and strategic client partnership experience
  • Can design and develop stakeholder engagement including brand development workshops, research and insight capability and expertise a real plus

Musts:

  • Have very strong strategy development in a commercial environment, consultative background or agency expertise a must
  • Be of a growth mindset and capable of managing and growing a portfolio of clients
  • Be commercially oriented
  • Have very strong communication and persuasion skills with ability to influence a C-suite audience
  • Be a strong team player
  • Have a strong insight and analytical leaning with proven ability to both facilitate larger groups and to conduct B2B and or consumer research
  • Have a range of proven experience across multiple categories including public sector
  • Have a passion to grow and build teams
  • Have a strong orientation for growth led outcomes for our work and our clients
  • Have very strong communication and senior engagement skills
  • Have strong strategic relationship building skills
  • Be a strategic thinker; have both strong attention to detail but also to see the bigger picture and bring clarity
  • Have experience in workshop design and facilitation
  • Have proven experience in designing propositions and brand positioning for a range of leading brands across different sectors
  • Have experience in developing and using strategic frameworks, specifically proposition and brand development frameworks
  • Have experience in proposal and tender writing
  • Have very strong presentation, delivery and negotiation skills
  • The applicant must be based in Dublin, Ireland

Brand Strategist

Job Description

  • In MCCP you will work as part of an experienced team in the end-to-end design and delivery of research that informs strategy development.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to lead, project manage consumer and brand strategy projects.  There is an expectation that you will be able to use strategic thinking and apply processes to bring clear insights, including qualitative research to inform evidence led strategic recommendations.
  • The variety of projects types requires the ability to think critically, assess and adapt to clients’ changing needs and apply fresh thinking to help meet project goals of the clients.
  • Working closely with clients you will be required to have excellent relationship management and listening skills to build trusted and long-term partnerships.
  • You will be required to have strong project management skills to manage project requirements, timelines, and team roles in the delivery of excellent project deliverables.
  • A key part of this role will also be to conduct analysis of clients’ data to understand their current situation and develop hypotheses to test and validate during research.

Technical skills and experience

  • Must have at least 5-7 years’ experience  developing strategies based on evidence to include conducting qualitative research and insight development, in a commercial environment with strategic application and experience.
  • Have insight development capacity in the area of brands, strategy, comms, consumer
  • Have knowledge and expertise in design thinking and creative research techniques to access insight
  • Have middle management experience
  • Have proven brand strategy development experience including brand positioning, propositions and messaging
  • Have strong client and project management experience

Musts:

  • Have very strong qualitative moderation skills in a commercial environment
  • Have very strong qualitative analysis and report writing skills
  • Be able to interpret quantitative data to create clarity
  • Have very strong communication and senior engagement skills
  • Have strong strategic relationship building skills
  • Be a strategic thinker; have both strong attention to detail but also to see the bigger picture and bring clarity
  • Have experience in workshop design and facilitation
  • Have experience in defining propositions and brand positioning
  • Have experience using strategic frameworks, specifically proposition and brand development frameworks
  • Be able to project manage long and short-term projects which include research and strategy phases
  • Have experience in proposal and tender writing
  • Have very strong presentation, delivery and negotiation skills
  • The applicant must be based in Dublin, Ireland
